Well, we've caught the bug. We heard through way of a friend that a house in south Minneapolis might go up for sale for a "deal" and the more we thought about it, the more interested we became. So we've started to get our house ready to sell. We figure that even if the house in south Minneapolis doesn't go up for a bargain price, we now have the itch to move and we might as well start getting prepared.
We have a list of house projects a mile long and we've been slowly trying to knock them off. So far we've repainted the bathroom, cleaned the gutters, replaced the garage door and had an opener installed, repainted the window trim, cleaned and organized, changed out a couple of outlets, started replacing our family photos with photos of Europe (no people included), worked on the landscaping, built permanent steps to the side door... among other things. Even though we have all of these accomplishments, we have so much more to do. Next on the list is re-glazing our front windows, repainting the living room and hallway, painting the basement walls, installing a new outdoor front lamp, putting new numbers on the house, painting all of the crown moulding and baseboards in the kitchen, and decluttering. I'm sure there's more but I can't seem to remember all of the smaller projects right now.
We have to give a big shout out to my mom. THANK YOU! Mom has been helping us both with our projects and with watching Noah so that we can focus on finishing some of these projects.
Needless to say, there hasn't been much time for blogging lately. But we'll get back into the swing of things again pretty soon.
